In 2012, Captain Ken Christenson was the captain of the dredge, the S/V America, on the reality TV show Bering Sea Gold. The show followed Christenson and his crew as they mined for gold in the frigid waters off the coast of Nome, Alaska. Christenson was a popular figure on the show, known for his tough-as-nails demeanor and his dedication to his crew.

However, in the years since the show ended, Christenson has largely disappeared from the public eye. His last known whereabouts were in 2016, when he was living in a remote cabin in Alaska. It’s unclear what Christenson is doing now, or where he is, but whatever happened to him, it’s clear that he’s left the world of Bering Sea Gold behind.

The show’s producers have said that Captain Ken’s fate will be revealed in a future episode.
