Red Sea MAX PRO is an automated reef aquarium dosing system. It is an all-in-one unit that includes a controller, display, and four dosing pumps. The system can be used to dose a variety of different reef aquarium additives, including calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium.
Since the Red Sea Max Pro already come pre-drilled with a 1” bulkhead, the do-it-yourselfer can easily install a Red Sea Max Pro dosers. Professional installation is recommended.
1.Using a hole saw, cut a hole in your sump for the 1” bulkhead.
2.Install the 1” bulkhead from the inside of the sump.
3.Install the O-ring and thumbscrew.
4.Apply a bead of sealant around the outside of the flange.
5.Connect the tubing from the doser to the 1” bulkhead.
6.Tighten the thumbscrew to compress the O-ring and create a seal.
How do you set up an aquarium doser?
ATI Dosing Pumps are simple to set up, and only require a few minutes to get started. Here are the basic steps:
1. Unboxing: Open the box and remove the product from the packaging.
2. Install check valves: These are located on the input and output ports of the pump.
3. Install the pump: Mount the pump on a flat surface using the provided screws and brackets.
4. Set the date and time: Use the buttons on the front of the pump to set the current date and time.
5. Install tubing: Connect the tubing to the input and output ports of the pump.
6. Prime your dosing lines: Fill the tubing with water to remove any air bubbles.
7. Calibrate your dosing heads: Use the calibration tool to set the correct flow rate for your dosing heads.
8. Program your dosing pump: Use the programming interface to set the times and doses for your dosing regimen.
To set your device to AP mode, press and hold the settings button for 5 seconds. The indicator LED will start blinking, indicating that the device is in AP mode. To add the device to the Device Manager page, tap the Add Device button and follow the instructions on the app.
How do you use a Red Sea dosing bottle
In the near future, Red Sea liquid additives will come with a “dosing ready” bottle cap. All you will need to do is add the tube to your bottle’s redesigned cap and then connect it to your dosing pump for automated, easy to refill dosing system.
You can set the number of milliliters that you want the pump to dose per day. You can also set the number of times per day that you want the pump to dose.
Where should a dosing pump be placed?
The dosing pump is a key component in ensuring that your aquarium is properly cared for. By mounting the pump above the sump and dosing reservoir, you can help prevent spillage and splashing. Additionally, be sure to insert the tubing all the way over the connector to ensure proper function.
And tighten the screws in all four corners of the base plate. Place the pump flush against the base.

If you want to reset your device, you can do so by pressing the Settings button for 15 seconds. The indicator LED will show a double blink to indicate that the reset is successful. After the reset, the indicator LED will be permanently off.

Warp Up
1. Unscrew and remove the top cover of the doser chamber.
2. Place the Max Pro Doser unit upside down on a flat surface.
3. Locate the three black plastic feet on the bottom of the unit.
4. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws that attach each foot to the bottom of the unit.
5. Carefully turn the unit over so that the bottom of the doser chamber is facing up.
6. Locate the recessed area in the center of the bottom of the doser chamber.
7. Place the suction cup of the included Max Pro DoserMount onto the recessed area.
8. Press down on the suction cup to secure it in place.
9. Screw the mount into place using the included mounting screw.
10. Place the Max Pro Doser unit in its desired location.
After completing these steps, your Red Sea MAX PRO should be properlymounted and ready to use.
